THE ART OF ISOLATION
The pandemic is still here, yet we continue to network our analog bodies into global liminal spaces from our homes, and zoomed rooms — reaching out, beyond moments of isolation, joining a web of creatives, thinkers, makers, cultural weavers, students, and educators to tell the story of living through a pandemic. Together, we comprise a fiberoptic village of hackers, DIY content providers, artists, songwriters, technologists, and sound and art ecologists.

As a real-time ear- and eyewitness, Soundbox4 invites you to submit your unique way of creating during 2020. We imagine both solo and community-based collaborations. Open to wide interpretation ranging from isolation, perpetual selfies, communities in mediated dialog, glitches and technology breakdown, climate change, eco-art, personal identity, culture, social change, and activism. Be bold: Submit work that challenges arbitrary boundaries between peoples, disciplines, geographies, beliefs, genders, politics, race, and identities.
